Mental clarity
Lion’s Mane for Brain Fog
The research found a mixed picture — a slight speed-up in reaction time, not a felt sense of clarity. The distinction matters.

Why choose Triterra Farm Pure lion’s mane
market range (estimated) · measured in our extract
The Triterra figure: beta-glucan 1,3/1,6 measured in the finished lion’s mane extract at the TÜV Austria laboratory, for each extract separately. Market values are given as context and are not our measurement.
Potency
Why beta-glucan is the number that matters
Beta-glucan is the main active compound studied in medicinal mushrooms. Most mushroom supplements worldwide do not state its content at all — we do, for each extract separately.
The test is performed on the finished extract and not on the raw material, so the number reflects what is in the bottle. Mycelium grown on grain is mostly starch, which is why it reaches far lower values.
Purity
What we looked for and did not find
Lead, arsenic and mercury — not detected in any of the mushrooms, by ICP at an external laboratory.
Pesticide residues — no active compound quantified in a 610-compound screen, per the European standard.
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) — below the limit of quantification in all of the mushrooms.
Transparency
The full certificate, not a summary of it
We publish the signed laboratory report in full for every extract — with its report number and sample code, so it can be verified against the laboratory itself.
Questions people ask before buying
Does lion’s mane help with brain fog or not?
The answer is qualified. A slight speed-up in reaction time was measured against each participant’s own baseline, but no reported improvement in the sense of clarity.
How long before you feel anything?
The studies looked at ranges of weeks. Some examined an acute effect two hours after a dose, which is not the same thing.
When does brain fog require a doctor?
When it persists or worsens. It can stem from the thyroid, from anaemia, from sleep disorders and from other causes that require diagnosis.
Can I take it with coffee?
Yes, there is no known reason not to.
Are there side effects?
The extract is well tolerated by most people. If you take medication or have a diagnosed condition, consult a physician.
What is the dose, and how long does a bottle last?
The daily dose is about 1.4 ml. A 50 ml bottle lasts about 35 days of use, and a 100 ml bottle about 70 days.
Why lion’s mane in particular
What was actually measured
In computerised tests a slight speed-up in reaction time was measured. When asked how they felt, participants reported no difference.
Fog is a symptom
Persistent brain fog can point to something else in the body. If it continues, a medical work-up is worth doing before trying a supplement.
The dose studied requires an extract
The studies were done on concentrated, standardised extracts, not on powder.
